A New Step For A Storied Brand

Hongqi, meaning “Red Flag” in Mandarin Chinese, is China’s oldest and most storied automotive brand. With SUVs gaining popularity in China, Hongqi sought to evolve their design language and identity while previewing a potential mid-size SUV to consumers.

As the lead interior designer on the project, I collaborated with a team of digital sculptors and prototype manufacturing suppliers to translate my original design vision into the S-Concept, which was first shown to the public at the Beijing Motor Show in 2016. This work also included producing the multiple on-screen user interfaces.
